Thank you so much. Highly recommend. Got tiles on my roof fixed and cleaning of guttersPosted on Google vinod mosesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently used Singh Roofing and Tiles for roof pointing, roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, and some additional work around our house. During the extra work, there was a misunderstanding about the scope of the job. Lucky came out personally, took the time to explain everything clearly, and resolved the issue in a very professional and honest manner. I really appreciated his transparency and the way he handled the situation. In the end, everything was completed to a high standard, and the workmanship was exceptional. We're very happy with the final result and would confidently recommend Singh Roofing and Tiles to anyone looking for quality roofing services.Posted on Google Faze Tech ReviewsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend Singh roofing, completed the job with full care, they knew what needs to be donePosted on Google Dane LaiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lucky and his guys do fantastic work, a work colleague recommended them to me as they had restored his roof recently and now that they've worked on my property, I can absolutely back that recommendation. I originally called them to check some buckling tiles and do a quote to repair those tiles only, but Lucky showed me photos of the poor state of the roof after many years of neglect by the previous owners and recommended a roof restoration. I attached photos of before and after Singh roofing worked their magic and the roof looks brand new, I cannot fault their work.Posted on Google Julio DeeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This could easily have been a 1-star review, but their integrity turned it into a 5-star experience. I had a new ducted fan installed and tested - my humidity sensor confirmed it worked perfectly. I then needed a vent, so I contacted Singh Roofing (SR). They provided a reasonable quote, I approved it, and a low-profile vent was installed within a couple of days. However, the humidity sensor then showed moisture lingering for a very long time after showers. After doing a quick check in the roof and some research, I contacted SR to report I had an issue and suggested the duct length might be the cause. I was told it wasn’t too long, that this was a standard install for them, do it this way all the time, and that the issue must be with the fan. Being told the fan was the problem was frustrating, and after some back and forth, despite me explaining it worked fine prior, I was eventually told they had to go as they had other calls waiting. At this point I was even more frustrated. I got on the roof and after some time found the issue: the backdraft flap couldn’t move. The way the ducting had been installed effectively reduced the diameter at the fan outlet, preventing the flap from opening freely (which is required for proper exhaust and backdraft prevention). After emailing photos and video evidence, SR responded first thing the next morning and arranged to come out and fix it. The vent installation on the roof tiles appears excellent (to the best of my knowledge), but what really stands out is their willingness to acknowledge the issue and promptly rectify it. That’s what makes this a 5-star review. The only thing that could have been better is if they had offered to come and review it after I reported the issue, and taken on board that it had been working perfectly beforehand, rather than me having to get on the roof myself. One slightly cheeky moment: during the fix, I was told “I can remove the flap”—which of course defeats its purpose, and I said as much. That said, I personally watched the repair, tested the flap before reattaching the duct to the fan, and the final result was an excellent job.Posted on Google Raffles KrisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a leaking roof under my solar panels which were installed 3 years ago. Lucky (that's his name), came in a couple of days later, took away a few tiles, crawled into the ceiling and identified two leak spots. The seal for the electrical to the panels had deteriorated. Lucky fixed the leak and replaced a damaged tile without fuss. Excellent work!Posted on Google L TTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My name is Laurie and and l highly recommend Singh Roofing. I had a fantastic experience from start to finish. They are very professional and communicative. Lucky is very knowledgeable gave me honest advice and the job was completed very well. Lucky and his team did an excellent job!

Our Roof Restoration Services in Ringwood VIC 3134
Singh Roofing delivers every roofing service your Ringwood home requires from standalone leak repairs and roof cleaning to full tile restoration and Colorbond recoating. Every service is delivered by our licensed team with no subcontracting.
Tile roof restoration
Complete restoration of concrete and terracotta tile roofs, most of which in Ringwood are 30 to 50 years old and ideal restoration candidates. High pressure cleaning, tile replacement, ridge rebedding, polymer repointing and a two coat sealing and paint system.
Metal and Colorbond restoration
Metal and Colorbond roofs on newer builds near Eastland and along the EastLink corridor face accelerated UV degradation and surface corrosion. Rust treatment, Zincalume primer and a two coat Colorbond approved topcoat restore appearance and waterproofing.
Leaking Roof Repair
Roof leaks are the most common issue in Ringwood homes after heavy rain. We trace leaks to their exact source, not just the symptom on the ceiling. Common causes include failed valley flashings, cracked ridge mortar and damaged lead soakers around chimneys and skylights.
Ridge rebedding and repointing
Failed ridge capping mortar is a common defect we see on older Ringwood homes. Rigid 1970s mortar lasts 20 to 25 years and most hasn’t been touched since installation. We rebed and repoint with a flexible polymer compound that moves with the roof.
Roof painting
A premium two coat system using Dulux Weathershield and Shieldcoat, formulated for Victoria’s UV intensity and rainfall, in 50+ colours including Colorbond and terracotta shades. A heat reflective option can cut summer roof temperatures by up to 15°C.
Roof cleaning
Ringwood’s tree canopy around Greenwood Avenue, Mullum Mullum Creek and Ringwood Lake Park creates ideal conditions for moss, lichen and algae. Professional 3,500 PSI cleaning, biocide treatment and a gutter clear out, standalone or as the first stage of a full restoration.
Does your Ringwood roof need restoration or replacement?
Many established Ringwood homes have older tiled roofs, but age alone does not determine whether restoration is appropriate. Roof condition, previous repairs, structural integrity and the extent of deterioration all need to be assessed. Here’s how to tell which category yours falls into.
✅ Your roof can be restored
- ✔ The tile or metal structure is fundamentally intact
- ✔ Fewer than 15–20% of tiles are cracked or broken
- ✔ There are no major deck or rafter failures underneath
- ✔ Leaks are coming from failed mortar, cracked tiles, or damaged flashing
- ✔ Moss and lichen cover is widespread but tile surface is solid
- ✔ Ridge caps are cracked, loose, or have failed mortar, but bedding remains sound
- ✔ Roof coating has faded, peeled, or completely worn away
- ✔ Roof is 20–50 years old but hasn’t been restored before
- ✔ Water stains are visible internally but there is no structural sagging
⚠️ Restoration won’t be enough
- ⚠ More than 30–40% of tiles are cracked, broken, or missing
- ⚠ Roof deck timbers (battens or rafters) show rot or structural failure
- ⚠ The roof has been repeatedly patched without long-term success
- ⚠ Metal roofing shows extensive through-rust across large sections
- ⚠ Roof is structurally deformed with visible sagging or dips
- ⚠ Obsolete roof materials cannot be matched for repairs
- ⚠ Asbestos cement roofing is present and requires licensed removal
- ⚠ Multiple previous restorations have failed to stop recurring leaks

What Can Happen If Roof Problems Are Left Unchecked?
Whether it’s worth waiting on a needed restoration is a question worth answering honestly. A small roofing defect does not always remain small. Water entering through damaged tiles, deteriorated ridge pointing, valleys or flashings can gradually affect the roof space and internal areas of the home.
| Risk | What Happens | Long-Term Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Active Water Ingress | Failed ridge mortar or cracked tiles allow water to penetrate your roof space during every rain event. Over time, this becomes a continuous drip rather than a seasonal one. | What starts as a minor leak can become widespread ceiling, plaster, and internal water damage. |
| Timber Rot & Deck Damage | Persistent moisture reaching roof battens and rafters causes progressive timber rot. By the time you notice sagging or soft spots, structural work is unavoidable significantly escalating your bill. | Structural repairs become necessary once timber begins to weaken, significantly increasing restoration costs. |
| Insulation Saturation | Water-saturated roof insulation loses up to 80% of its thermal efficiency. Higher energy bills, colder winters, and hotter summers all follow. Replacing saturated insulation adds cost on top of the roof repair. | Increased heating and cooling costs, plus the added expense of replacing damaged insulation. |
| Mould & Health Risk | Persistent moisture in roof cavities and wall cavities creates mould growth behind plasterboard often invisible until staining appears. Mould remediation is expensive and disruptive to living conditions. | Expensive mould remediation and potential health issues for occupants. |
| Replacement Instead of Restoration | A roof that qualifies for restoration today may not qualify in two seasons if structural damage progresses. What could be resolved for $6,000 may require a $20,000 replacement if left another two winters. | A $6,000–$8,000 restoration can become a $20,000+ roof replacement if left unresolved. |
Common Roofing Problems We Solve Across Ringwood
Leaking Roof
Water stains on ceilings, damp patches on walls or dripping during rain point to a leaking roof, usually from cracked valley tiles, failed ridge mortar or damaged flashings. Each rain event adds to the internal damage.
Cracked & Broken Tiles
Common on roofs over 30 years old. Cracked tiles allow direct water entry and worsen rapidly under foot traffic. Every crack is a future leak waiting for the next heavy rain event.
Failed Ridge Capping
Cracked, loose, or completely detached ridge cap mortar is the most common defect on 1970s Ringwood homes. Once mortar fails, entire ridge tiles can shift or dislodge in high winds.
Moss & Lichen Growth
Especially severe near Mullum Mullum Creek and Ringwood Lake. Biological growth traps moisture against tile surfaces, accelerating concrete tile degradation by years. Lichen roots penetrate tile surfaces and are harder to remove than moss.
Faded & Peeling Roof Paint
UV degradation strips colour and protective properties from roof coatings within 8–12 years without maintenance. A faded roof isn’t just an aesthetic problem — it’s a waterproofing failure in progress.
Valley & Gutter Damage
Blocked valleys from leaf accumulation cause overflow that penetrates under tiles. Damaged valley flashings from years of leaf acid and UV degradation fail silently often the hidden cause of recurring leaks.
Storm Damage
High winds, hail, and fallen branches from Ringwood’s established trees cause tile displacement, valley damage, and gutter collapse. Emergency response with same-day temporary weatherproofing available 7 days a week.
